USDOT Biennial MCS-150 Update is for carriers needing to update their company's USDOT information with the FMCSA. The Biennial Update is required every two years on a set schedule determined by the USDOT number.

Detailed Description
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires all entities under its jurisdiction to update their information at least every two years. This can be referred to as the Biennial Update, MCS-150 Update, or USDOT Update. All these names refer to the same filing. The due date for the update is determined by the last two digits of your USDOT number.
- If the second-to-last digit of your USDOT Number is odd, you must file your update in every odd-numbered calendar year. If the second-to-last digit of your USDOT Number is even, you must file your update in every even-numbered calendar year.
- The last digit in your USDOT Number determines the month your biennial update is due. 1 is due in January, 2 in February, 3 in March, and so on.
Example: If your USDOT Number is 2345678, you need to file your company's update by the last day of August, determined by the number (8), in every odd-numbered calendar year, determined by the number (7). You are required to provide this update every two years, even if your company has not changed its information, has ceased interstate operations since the last update, or is no longer in business and you did not notify FMCSA. Failure to complete a Biennial Update will result in deactivation of your USDOT number and may result in civil penalties of up to $1,000 per day, not to exceed $10,000.Once we receive your service order for the Biennial Update, we will contact you to confirm we have the most updated company information and we will submit the MCS-150 Biennial Update electronically to the FMCSA right away.
